The letter following the hyphen (-) in an option or LEAPS series (XYZ AA-E) indicates which exchange(s) the option trades at, where:
- E = CBOE (Chicago Board Options Exchange)
- A = AMEX (American Stock Exchange)
- X = PHLX (Philadelphia Stock Exchange)
- P = PCX or PSE (Pacific Stock Exchange)
- 8 = ISE (International Securities Exchange)
