Review from FileTransit
Here is a fantastic, modernly XP styled, and elegant
Inventory management system. We could not find one option that
wasn't fully jazzed up with modern bells and whistles. There is
so much functionality packed into this software that it is best
if I just tell you about the features that really turned me on
(so what if a good database turns me on?).
Firstly, the Chrysanth Inventory Manager
software is fully Multi Company enabled; with each company self
contained in its own database, and included is a handy New
Company Wizard that gets you configured quickly (easily done in
two minutes). As well, a company can have multiple branches or
locations with their independently managed
inventory.
Secondly, the really sexy stuff ... the output: Quotations,
Sale Orders, Delivery Orders, Cash Orders, Invoices, Purchase
Orders, and Credit Notes. These reports are fully customizable
with a built in, full blown, end user (that's me) Report
Writer. It's easy to add your own letterhead image, add your
own custom fields, and modify any of the existing elements,
just to name a few of the features. Now, before we go on, lets
be really clear that these reports are very sophisticated; they
allow you to generate different Quotations for different
customers based on a plethora of pricing structures; as well
past documents can be easily referenced to keep your numbers
consistent.
Thirdly, well actually this is more on the great reporting;
you can easily publish impressive inventory catalogs, complete
with bar coding ... and the software supports scanning as well.
Additionally you can do advanced analysis with cross-tabs and
pivot tables.
Fourthly, when product quantities drop below reorder
thresholds, you get notified. This makes reordering and
restocking management a snap.
And finally, another favorite, ... there is some very flexible
user management. You can make your own custom menus for each
user if you want.
Regarding the generous trial period, 30 days or 30 uses, the
only limit being that you can create only one user per company.
After the trial period the reporting, external interface
options, and user management will be disabled ... the rest will
function indefinitely.
This Inventory Management software is fully loaded ... just
because I haven't mentioned the fantastic Customer, Vendor,
Item, and Transaction data capture screens doesn't mean that
they are not extremely friendly to use. To boot, there are no
annoying pop ups, everything is maintained through the base
software window. Data entry defaulting is outstanding ...
which, of course, makes it very easy to get your transactions
into your database. I would highly recommend this Inventory
package to everyone ... Get your copy today!

Review from Tucows
Chrysanth Inventory Manager 2001 is a powerful yet flexible inventory management system which includes Item Management, Customer Management, Vendor Management, Location Management, Business Documents, Decision Support Analytical Reports, Intelligent Inventory Tracking System and more… It is specially tailored to combat all the inherent problems associated with the already complex inventory control systems.
It has many user-friendly yet powerful functions. It has Non-Month-End-Closing flexibility with real-time posting and online analysis. Supports multiple price scheme management, i.e. by customer, vendor, location, season (peak or off-peak), event (on sale, stock clearance, etc), item or even other user-defined factors. There is a tool bar made up of icons. The program can be managed from this tool bar. Each icon represents a different feature. They allow you to open anything from open new company databases to writing off the value of damaged goods.
This program gives you the control you need to run your business or organization more efficiently by letting you accurately track your inventory and sales. This powerful tool can help you start up a new inventory system or organize an existing one. If you want to have control over your inventory then you may want to give this application a try.

Review from ZDNet
Chrysanth Inventory Manager 2001 is a sophisticated yet accessible system for managing inventory needs for small- to medium-sized companies. It offers an impressive array of features, yet manages to make them accessible to users in a straightforward interface. Menus, a toolbar, and sidebar icons help you access components of each database, ease data entry, create transactions, search for information, and quickly navigate the many sides of the program. Some of its diverse features are stock reports, a report designer, barcode output, print preview, integrated backup/restore, a database creation wizard, and output of standard forms such as purchase orders, invoices, quotations, and different types of orders. The system includes a detailed help file, and allows for a 30-day or 30-time uses for each database created; at that point, certain key features are disabled to motivate purchase.
