ExcelCube produces a cube of standard workbook files and their spreadsheets.

These include workbooks that are created from merging any combination of other workbooks in the cube.

Without any internal links.

Cube Structure

ExcelCube uses a Windows Explorer tree to organize Excel files into input level workbooks and merged, or consolidated, workbooks.

The folders represent Excel files holding aggregate data from the workbooks below them.

The levels represented by the folders can be nested to any depth.

There can be several structures adding the same input files in different ways.

These external structures are the only components organizing ordinary workbooks into ExcelCubes. All of the worksheets in each workbook are added up, side-by-side, into the aggregate workbooks.
ExcelCube represents a stand-alone environment, and does not require anything placed into the worksheets.

ExcelCube can merge hundreds of unopen workbooks into dozens of new workbooks in a few seconds.

The cube structure is edited using standard drag-and-drop techniques with the mouse.

This worksheet was created from the rows, columns, and worksheets of four other workbooks. In about 15 seconds.

All of the worksheets in all the workbooks can be sliced to report any combination of rows, columns, and workbooks per a given worksheet.

The feature works like a pivot table in Excel, except across workbook files, as well.

And the items selected for the Cross Section worksheet can be grouped in any number of ways.

One Step Maintanence

ExcelCube can take the changes made in one workbook and apply them to all of the workbooks in an application.

The window on the left is a log of the changes made to one of the worksheets. All of the changes will be made to the corresponding worksheet in all of the member workbooks in a few seconds. Even with only a handful of workbook files, the Maintenance feature pays for itself every time it is used.

An Example

All of the rows and columns of a spreadsheet are automatically added across workbooks into any number of aggregate workbooks. These merged workbooks can then be added into different levels of merged workbooks.

System Requirements

ExcelCube will work on Windows 98, ME, 2000, NT, or XP (or later) operating systems with one of the Microsoft Excel versions, 97 through 2003, installed. ExcelCube also requires the new .NET Framework 2.0 installed. The ExcelCube installation will install .NET Framework automatically if it is not exist on the user's system.
