MICR and OCR
Fonts
Our MICR fonts allow printing of numbers and codes to
create bank checks or drafts from blank check stock.

- the font used by banks in the US and several other
countries for MICR E-13B encoding.

Barcode Fonts - Self Checking
The following barcodes are self-checking. They do not
require calculations for check digits because the
checking technology is coded into each barcode
character making them very easy to use. If you are not
a programmer, we recommend you use one of these barcode
fonts for your application if possible.

Barcode Fonts
Requiring Check Digits
The following are high-density barcodes that are not
self-checking and therefore require check characters to
be calculated and appended to the end of the data
string. All are supplied with easy to understand
methods and examples of calculating the check
character.
- Code 11 - high
density numeric barcode used mostly in labeling
telecommunications components.
- Code 128 -
alpha-numeric barcode with three character sets. Our
Code 128 barcode fonts allow you to print characters
for Code 128, UCC-128, EAN-128, SSCC-18 and SCC-14
specifications.
- Code 93 -
similar to Code 39 but requires two check
characters.
- EAN - the
European Article Numbering System (EAN) is
used in the retail industry.
- Interleaved 2 of
5 - The Interleaved 2 of 5 barcode symbology
is a numeric only barcode used for interleaving pairs
of numbers in a high density barcode format.
- MSI Plessy - the
MSI Plessey barcode was designed by the Plessey
Company in England and has been used primarily in
libraries and retail applications such as grocery
store shelves.
- PDF417 - a
multi-row bar code capable of encoding several
hundred characters.
- UPC / JAN / ISBN - our UPC/EAN barcode
font can create several types of barcodes such as
UPC, EAN, JAN, ISBN and Bookland.

PDF417, DataMatrix and Other 2D Barcode Font Products
PDF417 and other two dimensional barcodes such has
Data Matrix allow encoding of more data in a smaller
area. These barcodes usually require a barcode imager to
read the data.
- PDF417 Fonts -
allow encoding of several hundred characters into a
symbol that can be shaped to fit just about anywhere
and it has high error correction capability.
- Data Matrix
Fonts - allow encoding of several characters
into a square barcode with error correction.
- MaxiCode Fonts -
allow encoding of about 100 characters and include
mail routing information such as country codes and
zip codes. This 2D barcode is used mainly by UPS to
route and track packages.
- For information on the barcode plug-in for
Access, Excel, Word, Visual Basic and C++ ActiveX
Control that produces PDF417, DataMatrix, and
MaxiCode, visit our ActiveX Control site.
